The brand's name, "Monkey Shoulder," is derived from the shoulders of the shovel workers who aerate the soaked and sprouting barley in distilleries, resulting from the rise in their shoulders over the years during this strenuous work. Nose: Vanilla, honey, cocoa, and malt accompanied by light citrus notes. Balanced. Palate: Caramel, raisin, and citrus notes accompanied by vanilla, oak, and light spices. It has a full, round character. PRODUCTION: SCOTLAND - MATURATION: 5 YEARS - ALCOHOL: 40%

Nose: A nose that suggests Lagavulin at first sniff. Intense peat and medicinal aromas are accompanied by caramel, salt, light fruit, and spicy notes. It gives a slight impression of being a young whisky, but overall, I'd say the nose is balanced. Palate: An interesting palate that starts softly and warms quickly. Just like the nose, the intense peat character is intense. Ash, salted caramel, and white pepper flavors are accompanied by burnt oak and bitter bitterness. A wild whisky. Finish: A peaty, spicy, slightly burning medium-length finish. Production: Scotland - Maturation: 8 years - Alcohol: 48%
